Mexican-Canadian artist Rafael Lozano-Hemmer created People on People (2010), an interactive installation that explores identity, movement and human connection. The artwork uses cameras and projectors to create people’s shadows on a wall, while projecting moving images of other visitors inside them. As people move around, their shadows change and interact with one another, making the audience part of the artwork. The project explores how technology can connect people through their movements and appearances.
